Carved from Danby Marble from Vermont, USA. This particular stone has a very interesting story. The stone was created in what is now known as Vermont USA. Once quarried out of the ground it traveled to Dallas TX to become veneer on a proud tall building, only to be demolished a few decades later. It found it's way to The Creative Art Center of Dallas where I teach stone carving. A student began a project with it and then abandoned it. And there it sat defeated until I listened and it told me what it was supposed to be. I began carving a statement on the mysteries of love. Now it seeks it's new home and a new adventure!
